Daria leads and supports projects focused on economic valuation, social impact and value for money. She works with clients to measure and evidence the benefits their activities create for society and the wider economy. As Prinicpal Economist, she supports the Associate Director of Economics in overseeing a wide range of projects and assisting the wider technical team.
She has extensive experience across the arts, culture, heritage, sport and housing sectors. Her work includes applying non-market valuation methods, such as contingent valuation and wellbeing valuation, as well as developing impact frameworks with a wellbeing focus. She also has specialist expertise in creating social value banks and undertaking value for money assessments, including cost-benefit analysis for large-scale public programmes.
Before joining Simetrica-Jacobs, Daria worked in investment consultancy, advising clients on pension funds and regulatory matters. She holds an MSc in Economics (with Distinction) from the University of Warwick and a BSc in Economics and Politics from the University of Bristol.
