James Williams

Graduate Economist

James Williams supports the delivery of economic appraisal, impact evaluation and wellbeing valuation projects. He helps organisations understand the economic and social value they create by developing robust evidence to inform policy and investment decisions, demonstrate impact and maximise social value.

Since joining Simetrica-Jacobs, James has contributed to projects across housing, public services, financial services, education, sport and culture. His work has included research for Homes England on housing design quality, evaluation of STEM education initiatives delivered through the ESERO programme, and the development of impact measurement and valuation approaches for UK Ombudsman services.

James holds a First Class BSc in Economics and an MSc in Economics from the University of Essex. He is particularly interested in applying economic evidence to policy and investment decisions that improve outcomes for people, places and communities.
